Video Application Instructions
1. Remove the backing from section 1(the anchor) and apply with no stretch in the tape to the outside of the arm just above the lateral epicondyle (bony bump on the outside of the elbow). Gently rub tape from the center out to activate adhesive.
2. Remove the backing from both sections 2 and apply both sides to the skin with no stretch in the tape. Gently rub the tape from the center toward the ends to activate the adhesive.
3. Remove the backing of section 3 and stretch the tape approximately 1″ longer than resting length so that the hole is directly over the lateral epicondyle (bony bump on the outside of the elbow). Rub to activate adhesive.
4. Flex the wrist, pointing fingers downward. Begin removing backing from the outside arm of section 4, applying the tape in the direction of the little finger with no additional stretch in the tape. If the tape is applied to the skin as the backing is removed, you will create the ideal tension.
5. Keeping the wrist flexed and the fingers pointed downward, begin peeling the backing from the inside arm of section 4, applying the tape in the direction of the thumb. If the tape is applied to the skin as the backing is removed, you will create the perfect tension.
6. Be sure to gently rub over the entire taped area to activate the glue. For best results, apply the Elbow Pre-Cut 30-60 minutes before sweating, swimming or showering.
This is the most common technique and is essential to get right if you want to make your applications last.
Tear and remove the backing tape 2-3cm from one end and apply the tape to the skin with 0% stretch to create an anchor. Continue to apply the remaining tape at the desired stretch whilst peeling away the backing paper.
Finally, leave 2-3cm at the other end with 0% stretch for the remaining anchor.
Centre Taping Technique
This technique is often used to apply SPORTTAPE over a point of pain or around a joint. Just remember to always handle the backing paper and not the glue.
Tear the centre of the backing paper and peel back either side leaving 2-3cm at each end. Then apply the exposed tape to the skin with the desired stretch (often 50%). Finish by anchoring either end with 0% stretch.
Included with every roll of SPORTTAPE is our handy little application guide. Featuring 6 of the most common applications including, Runnner's Knee, Shin Splits, Tight Hamstrings, Sore Calf's, Groin Strain & Shoulder Pain.
We hope to add to these instructions soon and will also be including a video applications. To download a PDF of our application guide please click here.

Video Application Instructions
1. Begin by tearing all of the perforations on the backing of the tape. After determining where the tape will be applied, remove the backing from the anchor end of the tape (Section 1), and apply it to the skin with no stretch in the tape. Rub the tape briskly from the center toward the edges to activate the adhesive.
2. Stretch the underlying muscle group to its maximum pain-free range of motion. Begin removing the backing from the first “finger” of the tape, and apply it in a curve, along the outer boundary of the treated area. The tape should be stretched approximately 50% as it is applied, except for the final 1-2″ which should not be stretched.
3. One at a time, apply the remaining fingers of this half of the application, following the curve of the first piece. Maintain a gap of approximately a finger width between each strip of tape. Continue to stretch the tape as it is applied, except for the final 1-2″. After each strip is applied, rub it briskly to activate the adhesive.
4. Begin removing the backing from the outer strip of the other half of the application. Apply it in a curve along the opposite boundary of the treated area. The strip should cross over the strips that have already been applied. Continue applying the remaining strips parallel to the outer finger until all have been applied.
5. The finished application should be symmetrical and completely cover the area of swelling or edema. Ensure that each strip has been rubbed to activate the adhesive. Return the muscle to a relaxed position. The tape should now appear somewhat wrinkled, indicating that it is lifting the skin and underlying tissues as desired.
Kinesiology taping is a skill and takes time to perfect. Although the Lower Back Pre-Cut makes it easier, please practice and be patient while applying until you are familiar with the handling of the tape.
Remember to:
Tear all perforations before applying
Do not touch the adhesive side of the tape
Do not completely remove the backing of the tape until 90% of the tape is adhered to the skin
Ensure each section is applied before moving on to the next section
Rub over the top of the tape to activate the glue
Video Application Instructions
1. With subject standing, peel the backing from half of section 1 of the Lower Back Pre-Cut and apply (with no stretch in the tape) at the base of the lower back. Remove the remaining backing from section 1 and apply. Gently rub the tape from the center toward the outside to activate the glue.
2. Have the subject bend forward into a curled position to obtain maximum stretch of the back extensor muscles. If necessary, the arms can be used to support the upper body against the thighs.
3. Begin peeling the backing from the left “arm” of section 2, and begin applying the tape (with no additional stretch) along the muscles directly left of the spine. Continue removing the backing and pressing the tape against the skin until the entire strip has been applied.
4. Begin peeling the backing from the right “arm” of section 2, and begin applying the tape (with no additional stretch) along the muscles directly right of the spine. Continue removing the backing and pressing the tape against the skin until the entire strip has been applied.
5. Begin peeling the backing from the outer right arm of section 3, and apply the tape (with no additional stretch) in the direction of the right armpit. Continue peeling away the backing and applying the tape until the entire section has been applied.

1. With the subject lying on their side, remove the backing or the tape in section 1 of the Hip Pre-Cut and stretch the tape in either direction approximately 1 Inch longer than resting length and apply over the bony prominence on the side of the hip. Gently rub over top of the tape to activate the glue.
2. With the subject still lying on their side, bring their knee towards their chest and let the leg relax in front of the body. Start peeling off the backing of the lower arm of section 2 as you let the tape adhere to the skin in the direction of the centre or the back without any stretch in the tape.
3. In the same position, remove the backing off the upper arm of section 2 as you let the tape adhere to the skin towards the centre of the back without any stretch in the tape.
4. With the subject’s leg extended behind the body, start peeling off the backing of section 3 and apply the tape with no stretch along the side of the leg until the remainder of the tape is applied.
5. Once applied, gently rub over the tape to activate the glue.

1. Subject should be lying on stomach with leg relaxed. Remove half of the
backing from section 1 and apply to the rear thigh, directly below the
gluteal fold. Repeat with the other half of section 1. Gently rub the
tape to activate the adhesive.
2. Place the hamstring muscles in a stretched
position by having subject lie on side with leg straight and stretched
forward. Begin peeling the backing from section 2 and apply directly
over the hamstring muscles. It is not necessary to stretch the tape as
it is applied.
3. With the hamstring muscles still stretched,
remove the paper backing from the outer arm of section 2 and apply the
tape directly over the center of the injured groin area. Rub each
section of tape immediately after applying to activate the glue.
4. Remove the backing from the final arm of section 2
and apply it along the lower boundary of the groin muscles with no
additional stretch in the tape. Patient can now relax the leg and move
freely. Avoid exercise or bathing for one hour after applying the precut
kinesio tape to allow the adhesive to fully set.

Tendonitis of the elbow is often referred to as tennis elbow or golfers elbow due to its common occurrence in tennis players and golfers, but in fact any sport or activity that requires gripping can cause this problem.

PREPARE:1 x <Y-STRIP> 1 x <I-STRIP>
APPLICATION POSITION: SITTING
Lay the base of the <Y-STRIP> over common extensor origin with 0% tension.
Place extensors at full stretch by rotating your forearm and bending your wrist downwards.
Lay the tails of the <Y-STRIP> down over extensors with 0% tension
Using the Centre Technique aim the <I-STRIP> over common extensor tendon (point of pain) pulling 50-75% on the mid portion.
Knee pain felt at the front of the knee, around the kneecap, is called anterior knee pain syndrome or patella tendinopathy.
We would always recommend that you take a quick look at our application techniques first and please remember if you start to struggle or have any questions we're here to help!
PREPARE:2 x <Y-STRIP> & 1 x <I-STRIP>
APPLICATION POSITION: SEATED
Lay 1st <Y-STRIP> down mid-thigh to knee with 0% tension on upper section of the ‘I’
Bend the knee fully and wrap the tails around the patella with 0% tension
Place the 2nd shorter <Y-STRIP> beneath the knee cap and run the tails upwards and around patella
Lay the short <I-STRIP> aiming up and "cupping" the base of the patella with 50-75% tension mid part of tape
This simple application can achieve surprising results for Achilles Tendonitis. We would always recommend that you take a quick look at our application techniques first and please remember if you start to struggle or have any questions we're here to help!
PREPARE: 1 x <Y-STRIP>
APPLICATION POSITION: Seated
Anchor the base of the <Y-STRIP> with 0% tension to thecalcaneum(heel bone)
In Dorsi Flexsion(foot outstretched) lay the tape over the AT with 50% tension
Following upwardslay the tape with 25% tension over calf the mid calf muscle.
Finally anchor the tails with 0% tensionover the gastrocenmius (upper calf muscle)
This simple application can provide great relief for runners knee and I.T. band pain.
PREPARE: 2 x <I-STRIP>
APPLICATION POSITION: Laying on side
Lay 1st<I-STRIP> down from proximal
lateral thigh to lateral knee with 0% tension with leg at stretch into
adduction
Pace the 2nd <I-STRIP> using the Center Technique aiming up and over lateral
knee joint line with 50-75% tension mid part of tape. Should you wish you can add further <I-STRIP>'s to maximise the effect.
