We're absolutely delighted to announce our partnership with SportsAid. It's taken some blood sweat and tears but thankfully due to the launch of our new SPORTTAPE kinesiology rolls and the support of our users we're now in a position to help give a bit back to British sport. As a young British business it wasn't a question of if but how SPORTTAPE could help support SportsAid.
Who is SportsAid?
SportsAid is a fantastic charity that helps the sports stars of tomorrow today by giving them recognition and financial support during the critical formative years of their careers.
These athletes are typically aged 12 to 18 and are among Britain’s brightest hopes for future Olympic and Paralympic success.
Success comes at a price
Research in 2012 shows young athletes on average train
for more than 15 hours a week on top of school or college commitments, travel
650 miles a month to train and compete, and spend more than £6,400 a year on
their sport. At this stage sponsorship deals are hard to find so most rely
entirely on their family and SportsAid for financial support.
Why are we so keen to help?
We have been involved in sport all our lives and have reaped the benefits.
Unfortunately, none of us were ever talented enough to represent our country at elite level
however we can appreciate the total commitment it requires not only by the
athlete but from their support network. We're also extremely passionate about British sport and have been privileged to work with many great athletes since we launched.
What are we doing?
As we all know, money speaks louder than words, therefore from every single sale of a SPORTTAPE kinesiology roll on our website we will donate £1.00 to SportsAid. In addition to this, we will also work with the coaches to get their athletes back in the game faster with the use of our tape. We hope that this is just the start and that as we grow we can help more athletes realise their dreams in partnership with SportsAid.
