We love putting SPORTTAPE to the test so when a one of our regular customers Nick Collins tweeted that he was taking part in the grueling TransAlpine run we wanted to see how SPORTTAPE would hold up… Eight stages, countless summits and peaks spanning 4 countries and a distance of 250km, the Gore-Tex Transalpine Run is not for the faint of body and heart. This year’s event was no different and Nick completed it with his team mates and we promise you we did not pay him for the following review! I was fully stocked out on my running gear from the correct footwear, hats, gloves, socks. You name it, I had it. What I also had with me was an item that became a vital and sacred piece of kit. That product was SPORTTAPE. My profession as a sports therapist and strength coach gives me the opportunity to research and test out products so I can determine that they would be of use to my clientele. I tried other kinesiology taping products throughout my event training and found that SPORTTAPE was the best for me. The adhesion to the skin, the support to the muscles, ease of use and also the pain relieving affects made this product stand out. A1fdIgWCcAAf-01.jpg_large It actually took me by surprise at the start of using SPORTTAPE. I had been suffering from nerve impingement in my right calf. After applying the tape in the area I needed it, within twenty minutes I could 100% feel the aggravating issues disappearing and then they were gone just after thirty minutes. I kept that tape in place for a few days and ever since I haven't had any issue with that area. From then I made SPORTTAPE an essential part of my training kit. Before every stage of my Transalpine run I used the tape where I needed it to great effect. By the closing stages I'm pretty sure it was holding me together! A great product. For any of you thrill seeking adventurists out there who may be inspired by Nick’s achievements, you should definitely check out It’s like an Aladdin’s cave full of the latest and best top quality clothing and equipment. Likey’s also lead their own annual challenges such as the6633 Ultra ( which is quite possibly the toughest, coldest, windiest ultra-marathon on the planet. Martin, Sue and the team have a wealth of knowledge which they are only too happy to share and we are delighted that they now stock SPORTTAPE
