Maria Costello- Motorbike Racing

Maria began motorbike racing  competitively in 2007 and has continued to progress and make her name for herself in a very much male dominated sport. In 2004 she held the Guinness World Record for being the fastest woman to lap the Isle of Man TT course at an average of 114.73mph, and she folowed that amazing feat up with becoming the first woman in the history of the Isle of Man TT to stand on the podium in 2009. Maria's success on two wheels was soon recognised and she had the priviledge of being awarded an MBE in 2009 for her services to Motorbike racing. Maria is also at ease in front of a camera as she is on a bike, appearing in a number of television programmes and also as a stunt double.
