ACHILLES TENDINOPATHY K TAPING GUIDE


FOLLOW THIS EASY K TAPING APPLICATION FOR THE ACHILLES TENDON

All you need is a sharp pair of scissors, clean skin and 2 minutes of your time. Then either watch the video above or you can follow the instructions below. Remember to seek medical advice first and whether you're a seasoned taping pro or a first time taper, always fully assess before applying.

STEP 1

  • Measure the tape from your heel to mid calf
  • Cut the tape if necessary (don't forget to round the edges!)
  • Rip the ends of the I-Strip
  • Lay the base of the I-Strip with 0% stretch

STEP 2

  • Flex foot and apply the tape with 0% stretch
  • Rub the tape to activate glue
  • Prepare a short I-Strip by using the Centre Technique and removing the backing paper

STEP 3

  • Stretch the tape to 50% and apply over the point of pain
  • Lay the anchors with 0% stretch
  • Finish by rubbing the glue to activate the adhesion
