DELTOID STRAPPING GUIDE


FOLLOW THIS TAPING GUIDE TO LEARN HOW TO STRAP AND LIFT THE DELTOID

Always seek medical advice before attempting this application and whether you're a seasoned taping pro or a first time taper, fully assess before applying. Then just equip yourself with some Zinc Oxide tape, clean skin and follow the video above (see summary below).

STEP 1

  • Depending on the size of the shoulder, use either Zinc Oxide 3.8cm or 5cm (Tan is preferable due to the joint being large)
  • Apply the anchor on mid bicep and then apply the second anchor over mid clavicle (this can be done with Fixing Tape for greater breathability)

STEP 2

  • Apply your first strip along the centre of the deltoid with enough force to lift the deltoid

  • Reinforce by applying a strip slightly offset on each side, each time creating a further lift

STEP 3

  • Apply more strips as needed, overlapping each one slightly with the previous
  • Re-apply the anchors
  • Cover with Kinesiology Tape if needed to provide further water protection
