FULL SHOULDER STRAPPING GUIDE


FOLLOW THIS TAPING GUIDE TO LEARN HOW TO STRAP THE SHOULDER

Always seek medical advice before attempting this application and whether you're a seasoned taping pro or a first time taper, fully assess before applying. Then just equip yourself with some Zinc Oxide tape, clean skin and follow the video above (see summary below).

STEP 1

  • Using Kinesiology Tape
  • Cut a Y-Strip from the lower deltoid to the shoulder
  • Lay the anchor at base of deltoid
  • Flex the shoulder and extend the arm. Lay tail with 0% stretch
  • Extend the shoulder and lay the other tail with 0% stretch

STEP 2

  • Using Fixing Tapeand Zinc Oxide 3.8cm (Tan is preferable)

  • Apply Fixing tape from anterior to posterior shoulder
  • Apply Zinc Oxide tape over the fixing tape with enough force to pull the shoulder back

STEP 3

  • Using Kinesiology Tape
  • Prepare a Y-stripthe same length as Zinc Oxide tape
  • Internally rotate and extend shoulder
  • Lay the anchor at the posterior shoulder and then the tape with 0% stretch
  • Finish with one final piece of K Tape to cover and protect the Zinc Oxide tape with 0% stretch
