Follow this easy kinesiology taping application video for NECK PAIN using SPORTTAPE FLEX to provide dynamic support and pain relief. To save time for this neck pain kinesiology taping application we've used pre-cut strips from our FLEX KIT for this video.
Measure the tape from the upper back to the hair line of the neck
Rip the ends of the Y-Strip
Lay the base of the Y-Strip with 0% stretch
Apply the tail with 0% stretch up the back
Tilt the neck downwards and to the left
Apply the right tail of the Y-Strip with 0% stretch
Repeat for the other side and stretch in the opposite direction
Slump the head forwards
Prepare an I-Strip using the Centre Technique by removing the central piece of backing paper.
Apply the I-Strip with 50% stretch across the neck
Lay the ends with 0% stretch
Finish by rubbing the tape to activate the adhesion
That's it! Then just wait 30mins to an hour before exercise. SPORTTAPE FLEX can be worn for up to 7 days (through multiple washes & swims) however we'd always recommend reapplying or removing after 3 days for maximum effect.
