NECK K TAPING GUIDE


FOLLOW THIS K TAPING APPLICATION FOR NECK TIGHTNESS

All you need is a sharp pair of scissors, clean skin and a friend to apply the tape for you. Then watch and follow the video above (summary below). Remember to seek medical advice first and whether you're a seasoned taping pro or a first time taper, always fully assess before applying.

STEP 1

  • Measure the tape from the upper back to the hair line of the neck
  • Cut a Y-Strip,round the ends and rip the ends of the Y-Strip
  • Lay the base of the Y-Strip with 0% stretch
  • Apply the tail with 0% stretch up the back

STEP 2

  • Tilt the neck downwards and to the left to put the muscle on stretch
  • Apply the right tail of the Y-Strip with 0% stretch
  • Stretch the neck in the opposite direction and lay the second tail down with 0% stretch

STEP 3

  • Slump the head forwards
  • Prepare an I-Strip using the Centre Technique by removing the central piece of backing paper.
  • Apply the I-Strip with 50% stretch across the neck
  • Lay the ends with 0% stretch
