PLANTAR FASCIITIS KINESIOLOGY TAPING

Follow this easy kinesiology taping application video for PLANTAR FASCIITIS using SPORTTAPE FLEX to provide dynamic support and pain relief. To save time for this Plantar Fasciitis kinesiology taping application we've used pre-cut strips from our FLEX KIT for this video.

If you wish to use a SPORTTAPE FLEX roll and cut the tape for yourself check-out our How To Cut Video and if you're struggling with a few of the techniques our Application Techniques video is worth a look.

STEP 1

  • Measure the tape from the ball of the foot to the top of the Achilles Tendon
  • Cut the tape if necessary (don't forget to round the edges!)
  • Rip the ends of the I-Strip
  • Lay the base of the I-Strip with 0% stretch
  • Flex your foot
  • Apply the I-Strip with 0% stretch up the foot and over the Achilles Tendon
  • Anchor the end with 0% stretch
  • Rub to activate glue

STEP 2

  • Prepare a short I Strip using the Center Technique & remove the middle piece of backing paper. Stretch the tape to 50% and apply over the point of pain. You want to create a "cupping effect under the base of the foot".
  • Lay the anchors with 0% stretch
  • Finish by rubbing the glue to activate the adhesion

That's it! Then just wait 30mins to an hour before exercise. SPORTTAPE FLEX can be worn for up to 5 days (through multiple washes & swims) however we'd always recommend reapplying or removing after 3 days for maximum effect.
