TENNIS ELBOW K TAPING GUIDE


FOLLOW THIS K TAPING APPLICATION FOR TENNIS ELBOW

All you need is a sharp pair of scissors, clean skin and a friend to help apply the tape. Then watch and follow the video above (summary below). Remember to seek medical advice first and whether you're a seasoned taping pro or a first time taper, always fully assess before applying.

STEP 1

  • Measure the tape from just above the elbow to the wrist
  • Prepare a Y-Strip
  • Rip the ends of the Y-Strip
  • Flex the wrist downwards. This puts the forearm on stretch.
  • Lay the base with 0% stretch

STEP 2

  • Run the medial tail of the Y-Strip down the medial side of the forearm with 0% stretch
  • Anchor the ends with 0% stretch
  • Repeat on the lateral side

STEP 3

  • Return wrist to a neutral position
  • Prepare a short I-Strip by using the Centre Technique and removing the backing paper
  • Stretch the tape to 50% and apply on point of pain
  • Lay the anchors with 0% stretch
