COHESIVE BANDAGE

Backed by a 100% PERFORMANCE GUARANTEE our Cohesive Bandage is a kitbag essential for athletes and pitch-side therapists. It is stretchy, strong and holds-fast.

WHY COHESIVE?

WHY USE COHESIVE BANDAGE - An essential in every pitch-side kit bag. It's a flexible multi-purpose bandage that's easy to apply, only sticks to itself (not to the skin), water resistant, hand tearable and lightweight.

Cohesive bandage is generally used for "quick fixes" i.e.

  • Applying a compression bandage to limit bleeding and swelling within a joint
  • Replace the need for underwrap or adhesive sprays
  • It is becoming a firm favourite to replace PVC Sock Tape

OUR COHESIVE BANDAGE - Just play with it! We've designed our bandage to be stretchy, strong and hold-fast. You decide on the tension you need and it will hold that for as long as you need it to.

OUR COHESIVE

FABRIC - Our latex free fabric is constructed from high strength synthetic fibres, polyurethane elastic yarn and a cohesive natural rubber compound. This allows it to conform to the body without bunching or rolling down.

USE & REUSE - Because cohesive bandage is not sticky, it cannot ‘loose stickiness’. So if you make a mistake during application you can just reapply.Should you wish Cohesive bandage can be washed and re-worn twice

TENSION - You can wrap it on with almost no stretch to give light support (finger injury), or stretch it very tightly to provide heavy compression (severely bleeding wound)

VARIABLE SUPPORT - Cohesive bandage offers a range of support levels for weak or injured joints – from light to quite firm – depending on how many layers of tape you apply

THE FACTS

SIZE - We offer both 5CM and 7.5CM widths. Ideal if you're covering primary dressings.

UNILATERAL STRETCH - 180% stretch with consistent elasticity along the length

HAND TEARABLE - No scissors are required

SMOOTH UNWIND - All the way down to the core. Meaning no bandage is wasted and application is made easy

INDIVIDUALLY WRAPPED - It's the small things that make a big difference. Our rolls are flow-wrapped to keep them safe and dry until you're ready to use them

HOW LONG WILL IT LAST? - We would always recommend removal within 24hrs for hygiene and effectiveness. You certainly won't need to worry about reapplying at half-time!

WATCH & LEARN

Our tape is only as good as the application. But don't worry, we've created easy-to-follow application videos to deliver simple, effective results.

WE KNOW TAPE

Below is a list of our most frequently asked questions. However, if you don't find the answer you're looking for please get in touch.

WHATS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN EAB & TEARABLE EAB?

Seems like a stupid question doesn't it?! However the difference is far greater than the names would suggest. Both are elasticated adhesive bandages that adhere to the skin but that's where the similarity ends.

EAB
  • EAB has a firmer bind, stretching less and can only be cut with a scissors
  • EAB is generally used to support Zinc Oxide (rigid tape) on the knee and shoulder area to provide stronger support
TEARABLE EAB
  • As the name suggests, TEARABLE EAB can be torn by hand
  • It has a 120% stretch
  • It is more versatile and used in many areas to provide support but with greater flexibility than EAB

WHAT WIDTH EAB TAPE SHOULD I USE?

Our Tearable EAB comes in 3 sizes; 2.5CM / 5CM / 7.5CM

  • 2.5CM - Use to protect ears, fingers and smaller joints
  • 5CM -  Ideal for Ankle, wrist and knee taping. Also used for thumb taping and the hook-grip in weightlifting
  • 7.5CM - Knees and shoulder taping. Securing lifting blocks for rugby

IS EAB TAPE WATERPROOF?

Neither EAB or TEARABLE EAB is waterproof. However they are both breathable and water resistant, meaning that it will survive a heavy down pour during a match but they can not be used for water sports.

CAN IT BE REUSED?

EAB can only be used for single use

SHOULD I SHAVE BEFORE APPLYING?

Shaving before applying is not necessary. The level of adhesion combined with adequate pressure will hold the EAB in place

WHAT WILL HAPPEN IF I APPLY INCORRECTLY?

Due to the nature of the tape if applied incorrectly you can inhibit blood flow. Therefore we would always recommend that you check circualtion post application and during activity.

CAN I APPLY THE TAPE MYSELF?

We would always recommend you seek the advice of a medical professional before applying. Once, checked out you can easily self-apply. There are areas of the body, which may require some help or an extra pair of hands, such as postural, lower back and shoulder, however we supply clear instructions to follow so anyone can do it.

SHOULD I BE AWARE OF ANY ALLERGENS?

All of our tapes are hypoallergenic and latex free. However, if you have a known Zinc Oxide allergy you should opt for a different tape. First time tapers should always apply a small test patch of tape before you begin
