CALF STRAIN K TAPING GUIDE


FOLLOW THIS K TAPING APPLICATION FOR CALF STRAIN

All you need is a sharp pair of scissors, clean skin and 2 minutes of your time. Then watch and follow the video above (summary below). Remember to seek medical advice first and whether you're a seasoned taping pro or a first time taper, always fully assess before applying.

STEP 1

  • Put your calf on stretch (it's much easier if you have a friend to help)
  • Measure the tape down your calf
  • Cut 2 I STRIP's (don't forget to round the edges!)
  • Rip the ends of each I-Strip
  • Lay the base of the I-Strip with 0% stretch

STEP 2

  • Apply one I STRIP over the medial calf with 0% stretch

  • Repeat aiming over the lateral calf with 0% stretch

  • Anchor the end with 0% stretch

  • Prepare a short I STRIP,ripping the backing paper at both ends and removing the centre piece

STEP 3

  • Stretch the tape to 50% and apply directly over the point of pain
  • Lay the anchors with 0% stretch
  • Finish by rubbing the tape to activate the adhesion
  • Wait 30 mins before exercising
